LevelK finds ‘Lost in Africa’

Family adventure film to screen at Berlin market

Tine Klint’s Copenhagen-based shingle LevelK has picked up international sales rights for “Lost in Africa,” which will screen in February at the European Film Market in Berlin.

The Danish family adventure film, which was directed and written by Vibeke Muasya, was produced by Vibeke Windeloev, who partnered with Lars von Trier on many of his best-known films, including “Breaking the Waves” and “Dancer in the Dark.” SF Film’s Karoline Leth also produced.

The pic, which stars Connie Nielsen (“Gladiator,” “Brothers”), follows an adopted African boy, who travels back to Kenya with his Danish mother. When he gets lost in a city slum, he becomes the target of kidnappers.
