Snyder pic bows at Chinese Theater

The Hollywood preem of “Sucker Punch” on March 23 put Zack Snyder in a seriously nostalgic mood.

“I love being at the Chinese Theater. We were here two years ago for the premiere for ‘Watchmen.’ This is where they had the premiere for ‘Casablanca,’” he noted.

Snyder — who produced, directed and co-wrote — said the idea for the Warner Bros./Legendary pic came from a short story he’d written half a dozen years ago about a dancer’s inner dialogue. “What’s up on the screen is very close to my original vision,” he added.

Snyder has already switched gears as he preps for directing the latest “Superman” for Warners. “It’s not to be at all like ‘Sucker Punch,’” he allowed. “‘Superman’ is in the real world so it’s going to be the most realistic film I’ve ever done.”
