Kids bop at ‘Hop’ premiere

Pic gets jump on Easter

From the green carpet to the pastel petit-fours, Universal City was decked out in its Easter best Sunday at the “Hop” world premiere. The family party included egg dyeing, bunny carnival-style games and an all-you-can eat candy bar to the area outside the Gibson Amphitheater.

“It’s incredibly colorful,” noted producer Christopher Meledandri of Illumination Entertainment. “That’s a great reflection on what the film is — a lot of fun.”

The cast and crew bopped along to the festive hip-hop soundtrack, interrupted only by the arrival of Russell Brand — the voice of E.B. — who swept through the crowd and posed for pictures moments before the film’s preem.
