“Revenge of the Jocks” is gearing up at Warner Bros. with “Jackass” director Jeff Tremaine on board to helm the comedy, set up with Tapestry and Tremaine’s Dickhouse Entertainment.
Peter Abrams, Robert L. Levy, Andrew Panay and Tremaine are producing “Revenge of the Jocks.” Michael Schreiber is exec producing.
Studio’s also tapped Jeff Baena (“I Heart Huckabees”) to pen a rewrite for “Jocks,” originally set up at Tapestry with Rami and Etan Cohen writing the script. Project centers on a trio of former high school jocks dealing with a world run by geeks and nerds.
Sarah Schechter is overseeing for the studio.
Tremaine directed and produced all three “Jackass” pics for Paramount — 2002’s “Jackass: The Movie,” 2006’s “Jackass: Number Two” and last year’s “Jackass 3D.”
