Jason Bateman in talks for ‘Millers’

Jason Bateman is in negotiations to star in New Line’s pot-dealing comedy “We’re the Millers.”

Rawson Marshall Thurber (“Dodgeball”) is attached to direct.

Pic’s focused on a marijuana dealer who — on his 30th birthday — recruits a faux family so he can get out of the business after making one last score by smuggling 1,400 pounds of pot from Mexico.

New Line launched the project in 2002 by buying a spec from the “Wedding Crashers” scripting team of Steve Faber and Bob Fisher.

Will Arnett and Steve Buscemi have been attached previously to “Millers.”

Bateman is starring New Line’s “Horrible Bosses” and the upcoming “The Change-Up.” Pajiba first reported his attacment to “Millers” Tuesday.

Bateman is repped by CAA and managed by 3 Arts.
