J Brand to launch City Year fundraiser

CAA, Stacey Snider spur partnership between org and jeans manufacturer

With help from DreamWorks partner and CEO Stacey Snider and CAA, jeans manufacturer J Brand is launching a fundraising initiative to benefit the non-profit org City Year.

J Brand has created three limited edition colors for its femme skinny jeans that will be sold on its website starting Oct. 18. All of the proceeds will go to City Year, which aids public school students at risk of dropping out.

CAA and Snider helped introduce J Brand CEO Jeff Rudes to City Year, which sparked the initiative.

“After meeting with Stacey about her support and contribution to City Year … we were so moved that we created a collaboration with CAA and Stacey to raise money for this outstanding organization,” Rudes said.

Snider is to be feted Friday by Variety for her support of City Year as part of its annual Power of Women celebration.
