Italo-Argentine fund to back six pics

To include 'Naviante,' 'Fleeting Loves' and '12 Apostles'

Italian state film entity Istituto Luce and Argentina’s national film outfit, Incaa, have unveiled the first projects selected to tap into the joint fund they launched at the latest Latin American Film Market in Ventana Sur.

They are “Naviante,” by Juan Pablo Young; “Fleeting Loves,” by Alberto Ponce; “12 Apostles,” by Cristian Trebotic; “Thesis on a Murder,” by Patricio Vega and Jimena Blanco; “Iguana Stew,” by Martín Salinas, Pepe Salvia and Laura Tablon; and “The Green Invasion,” by Florencia Santucho.

The fund was set up after a more liberal co-production treaty was enacted between the two countries, which have close cultural ties.
