Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles sets juries

Cheena, Kapoor, Koehler among deciders

The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles announced Friday the nine jurors who will decide the features, docs and shorts categories.

Features will be voted on by Susan Cartsonis, a former Twentieth Century Fox exec who now runs her own shingle Storefront Pictures; indie filmmaker Cheng-Sim Lim and film critic Robert Koehler, who writes for Variety among other publications. The documentary jury comprises writer-director Shaz Bennett, multihyphenate Grace Lee and Los Angeles Times writer Claudia Puig; while shorts will be judged by thesps Parvesh Cheena (“Outsourced”) and Ravi Kapoor (“Crossing Jordan”) and American Film Institute programmer Myriam Despujoulets.

The ninth edition of the festival runs April 12-17 at the Arclight in Hollywood.
