L.A. digital services provider going global

Inception Media Group’s digital subsidiary has teamed with Infomedia Multi Media Services to open its first European-based digital media facility in Dortmund, Germany, as part of an expansion into international markets.

Los Angeles-based Inception Digital Services plans to open additional facilities in the U.K., Canada and Australia by the end of the year. The German facility will provide content owners with all the digital media services needed to deliver their films to the German, Austrian and Swiss iTunes Movie stores.

IDS provides digital master creation, digital file compliance and repair, metadata, artwork, chapter creation, electronic storage, global delivery and digital asset management.

“Many of our North America platform partners are rapidly expanding into international territories, and our goal is to support the needs of both the platforms and content owners around the world,” said IDS president Erik Pence. “Our company is highly regarded and widely recognized in North America as a leader in the creation of high quality electronic video files and the subsequent delivery of motion pictures and other filmed entertainment, and we intend to establish the (brand) internationally.”
