Harbour Pictures adapts book

Boat race draws 'Blood'

Harbour Pictures, the Brit outfit behind “Calendar Girls” and “Kinky Boots,” is producing a feature adaptation of David and James Livingston’s tome “Blood Over Water.”

Harbour will co-produce alongside Tideway Films, which acquired the film rights to the book.

Story, based on true events, follows the sibling rivalry pushed to extremes of two brothers rowing against one another in 2003 at the annual Oxford U.-Cambridge U. boat race on the Thames.

Novelist Boris Starling (“Messiah”) penned the script, which is currently out to helmers.

Joel Mishcon, who set up Tideway Films to make the pic, will produce alongside Harbour’s Nick Barton (“Calendar Girls”).
