Guests reflect on Globes at WB bash

Gervais was the talk of the town

We did good! We did good!” Globes presenter Robert Downey Jr. exclaimed above the din at the annual Warners/InStyle party. Meanwhile, as the cast of “Glee” danced the night away to “Don’t Stop Believin’,” many in attendance were buzzing about host Ricky Gervais’ repeated jabs at the biz.

“I think he was very bold,” said Oscar producer Adam Shankman. “It’s a different audience from the Oscars in that it’s an audience mostly comprised of industry folk, so we’ll see what happens next time around.”

Guests on hand included Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Bruce Willis and the cast of “The Big Bang Theory.”

“It’s hard to complain on a night like this,” noted Armie Hammer. As for those Superman rumors, the “Social Network” thesp said, “We’ll see. I hear they want to go older.”

Outside the Beverly Hilton, Tom Hanks offered protection for Rita Wilson as they made their exit: “Wife with bad shoes coming through! Wife with bad shoes coming through!”
