ROME — Italo helmer Luca Guadagnino (“I Am Love”) will serve on the Locarno Film Festival’s main jury, replacing Italo thesp Jasmine Trinca, who has pulled out.
Guadagnino, as previously announced, is coming to Locarno with docu “Inconscio Italiano,” a look at the link between Italy’s colonialist past and the country’s national psyche. “Inconscio” is unspooling out-of-competition.
The Swiss fest’s other jurors are French multi-hyphenate Louis Garrel, German actress Sandra Huller and Swiss helmer Bettina Oberli. Portuguese producer Paulo Branco is jury president.
Locarno runs Aug. 3-13.
