Winners feted March 19, April 16, May 14

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has named nominees for the 2011 GLAAD Media Awards.

Awards go to filmmakers, skein producers, legit producers, musicians, comic writers and journos who present positive images of the LGBT community. Nominees for the kudos’ 22nd edition include “The Kids Are All Right,” “I Love You Phillip Morris,” “True Blood,” “Modern Family,” “Anderson Cooper 360″ and Scissor Sisters, among others.

Winners will be feted at three ceremonies: a March 19 event at Gotham’s Marriott Marquis, an April 16 event at L.A.’s Westin Bonaventure and a May 14 event at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

This year also marks GLAAD’s 25th anniversary. The 2011 kudos will also feature a new category honoring indie blogs.
