Fox thriller ‘Chronicle’ adds to cast

Michael B. Jordan, Alex Russell join Josh Trank's feature debut

Twentieth Century Fox has tapped Michael B. Jordan and Alex Russell for lead roles in supernatural thriller “Chronicle.”

Studio has also cast Ashley Hinshaw, who will appear in this year’s Lionsgate young adult comedy “LOL.”

Thesps join “In Treatment” actor Dane DeHaan, first reported by Variety April 6.

Josh Trank will make his feature directorial debut from a script penned by Max Landis. John Davis is producing under his Davis Entertainment banner along with Adam Schroeder.

While studio is keeping most project details under wraps, pic follows three Portland teens after they develop powers from exposure to a mysterious substance.

Jordan is repped by ICM and The Schiff Company while UTA and ROAR handle Russell.

ICM and Liebman Entertainment handle Hinshaw.
