LONDON — Fortissimo Films has picked up international sales rights to Alex Stapleton’s documentary “Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel,” which it will shop at the Cannes Film Festival.
Pic, which preemed in Sundance and is featured in the Cannes Classics section, is a homage to Hollywood producer-helmer Roger Corman.
Docu features interviews with Corman, Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson and Martin Scorsese.
Deal was brokered by Fortissimo exec VP of sales and acquisitions Winnie Lau and producer Stone Douglass of Far Hill Pictures.
Corman and his wife, producer Julie Corman, are due in Cannes for the tribute screening on May 18.
