'Back and Forth' to be followed by live feed

The Foo Fighters will be on view on April 5 with a double feature docu/live performance that will open on 80 U.S. screens.

Date marks the bow of producer-director James Moll’s “Foo Fighters: Back and Forth,” which offers a look back at the band’s history and footage from sessions for the band’s forthcoming album, “Wasting Light.”

Unspooling will be followed by a live on-screen perf of the new set, which RCA will issue April 12. Album, act’s seventh studio collection, was produced by Butch Vig, who worked with Foos front man Dave Grohl on Nirvana’s breakthrough 1991 set “Nevermind.”

“Back and Forth” will subsequently screen as a VH1 Rock Doc on the VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia nets April 8.

Cinedigm Digital Media is mounting the screenings with Exclusive Media Group, RCA and Spitfire Pictures.
