Eyegore Awards a cut above

'Halloween Horror Nights' kicked off Friday

Circus freaks, zombies and vampires roamed the backlots of Universal Studios to ring in “Halloween Horror Nights,” which kicked off Friday with the presentation of the Eyegore Awards.

David Arquette, Rainn Wilson, Bailee Madison, Jamie Kennedy, Emma Bell and Alice Cooper were all honored.

“I love horror fans because they support what they love … and they are a bunch of oddballs just like me,” Arquette said.

Wilson thanked his “House of 1000 Corpses” director Rob Zombie. “If he doesn’t get the perfect performance from you, he will murder your whole family.” Madison, star of “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” cautioned, “Watch out for the clowns with chainsaws while you’re out there, guys!”
