Actor-comedian Eddie Griffin has formed management-production banner Griffin/Skye Industries to seek out new talent and develop and produce television shows and feature films.
The move by Griffin, who’s on tour both nationally and abroad more than 40 weekends per year, will provide him more flexibility, with a larger TV and film presence.
“I have been in this business of entertainment for almost three decades now,” he said. “It is exciting for me to be able to move toward this new chapter of my career.”
Screen credits for Griffin, who’s worked as a stand-up since 1986, include “Undercover Brother,” both “Deuce Bigalow” pics,” “Meteor Man,” “John Q,” “Norbit” and “Scary Movie 3.”
He’ll collaborate with co-founder and chief operating officer Ruben Skye. Projects on the slate for Griffin/Skye include a biodrama based on the life of murdered journalist Chauncey Bailey and a Griffin-penned comedy.
Griffin is repped by Gersh.
