Distribs go dutch in Benelux

Dutch Film Works, Kinepolis ink pact

Independent distributor Dutch Film Works has inked a deal splitting Benelux rights with Kinepolis Film Distribution, part of the Kinepolis multiplex business.

Beginning Oct. 1, Dutch Film Works will handle films in the Netherlands while KFD will bring them out in Belgium and Luxembourg. Deal replaces a previous alliance that saw Dutch Film Works titles go out in all three territories via Benelux Film Distributors.

First titles covered include Paul W.S. Anderson’s “The Three Musketeers,” Jonathan Levine’s “50/50” and Madonna’s “W.E.”

Move strengthens KFD’s mainstream offerings following a 2010 tie-up with Dutch distrib A-Film.
