Disney hires marketing exec Chiocchi

Studio taps U vet to head creative advertising

Disney has hired Universal marketing exec Frank Chiocchi to head its creative advertising operations.

He’ll report to president of marketing M.T. Carney.

Chiocchi’s been at U for nearly a decade and was most recently exec VP of marketing.

He was hired in 2002 as a senior VP after having been prexy and executive creative director of Craig Murray Prods. West.

Chiocchi, who joined CMP in 1993, opened the company’s West Los Angeles office in 1996 and supervised the creation and production of all screen campaign materials there, working on pics including “Toy Story” and U’s “The Bourne Identity.”
