LONDON — Discovery topper David Zaslav will give the international keynote address at next month’s Royal Television Society Cambridge Convention.
The talking shop, held every two years, bows Sept. 14 and is entitled “TV Everywhere: Paths to Growth.”
Industryites will descend on King’s College in the British university town to explore how media firms can take advantage of the opportunities presented by the convergence of broadcast, mobile, broadband and computing technologies.
The three-day confab has been planned by ITV CEO Adam Crozier, and will open with a speech from Blighty’s media minister Jeremy Hunt.
Also participating are Josh Berger, prexy and managing director of Warner Bros Entertainment U.K. & Ireland, Shine prexy Alex Mahon, advertising maven Martin Sorrell and RTL topper Gerhard Zeiler.Additionally top brass from Google and Facebook will be present.
Concluding the gabfest is a session entitled “View From the Bridge,” in which the heads of the BBC, BSkyB, ITV and Channel 4 will discuss growth strategies in an age of digital complexity.
