U.S. will have limited 'Answers' on Dec. 2

Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Dane Cook drama “Answers to Nothing,” with plans to release the film nationwide on Dec. 2.

“Answers to Nothing,” from helmer Matthew Leutwyler, tells interweaving stories that center on a child kidnapping case in L.A. Gillian Vigman co-wrote the pic with Leutwyler based on his original story.

“It’s great to see Dane in an unexpected dramatic role, and he hits it out of the park in this strong film,” said Roadside co-prexy Howard Cohen, who negotiated the deal alongside Ambush Entertainment’s Greg Bernstein.

Pic also stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Julie Benz, Zach Gilford and Barbara Hershey.

Ambush’s Amanda Marshall and Sim Sarna produced the film. Cold Iron Pictures, Ambush’s financing arm, served as financier.

Also on Dec. 2, the Weinstein Co. will bow the Ralph Fiennes-helmed “Coriolanus” in limited release, and Oscilloscope will open Tilda Swinton-John C. Reilly family drama “We Need to Talk About Kevin.”
