CPH PIX unveils $13,000 prize

LONDON – Denmark’s Copenhagen Film Festival for Features (CPH PIX) is introducing a new Euro 10,000 ($13,000) award for Nordic film score composers.

The prize, in association with the Nordic Film Composers Network (NFCN), is designed to highlight the word of film composers.

The award will be made for the first time April 30 at the closing ceremony of the third edition of CPH PIX, during which extracts from nominated scores will be performed live.

NFCN brings together composers from Iceland, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Each country can nominate one composer for the award, the winner of which will be chosen by a jury of European film professionals.
