Filmmaker scores for 'Little Accidents'

Filmmaker Sara Colangelo has picked up the annual fellowship from the Adrienne Shelly Foundation and Sundance Institute.

ASF’s Sundance Fellowship goes to a female filmmaker who has come out of the June Directors Lab that is part of Sundance’s Feature Film Program. Winners include Dee Rees (“Pariah”) and Maryam Keshavarz (“Circumstance”).

Colangelo scored the fourth annual grant for her screenplay “Little Accidents.” The $5,000 in funds will go toward the project’s continuing development.

Adrienne Shelly Foundation was founded in early 2007 in the wake of the 2006 murder of thesp and filmmaker Shelly. Nonprofit aims to support women filmmakers through scholarships and grants.
