Christa Campbell invited to ‘Wedding’

Thesp joins DeNiro, Heigl, Seyfried and more in ensemble comedy

Christa Campbell has been cast in the indie comedy “The Big Wedding,” joining Robert DeNiro, Katherine Heigl, Robin Williams, Amanda Seyfried, Susan Sarandon and Topher Grace.

Shooting started Monday in Connecticut with Justin Zackham (“The Bucket List”) directing. Campbell’s character works in a hospital and attends to Heigl’s character.

“The Big Wedding” is a co-production between the helmer’s Two Ton Films banner and Millennium Films. Zackham and Two Ton’s Clay Pecorin will produce with Richard Salvatore and Harry Ufland, while Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort and Trevor Short will exec produce.

Campbell’s credits include “Drive Angry 3D,” “Spiders 3D” and “The Mechanic.” She is currently exec producing “Leatherface.”

Campbell is repped by Sovereign Talent Group and Meyer Management Group (MMG).
