Callan McAuliffe joins ‘Great Gatsby’

The 'I Am Number Four' star to play a young Jay Gatsby

Exclusive: Callan McAuliffe will play a young Jay Gatsby in Warner Bros.’ “The Great Gatsby” starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Baz Luhrman helms with Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher also on board to star. Luhrman and Craig Pearce adapted the script from the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic.

Luhrman, Catherine Martin, Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, Catherine Knapman and G. Mac Brown will produce through Bazmark Films and Red Hour Entertainment.

McAuliffe was most recently seen in DreamWorks’ “I Am Number Four.”

He is repped by WME, Affirmative Entertainment and Felker Toczek Gellman Suddleson.
