Bruised barbarians

'Conan' after-party took place at WP24

Thursday’s after-party for Lions- gate’s “Conan the Barbarian” at WP24, overlooking downtown L.A., seemed like a welcome opportunity to unwind after a shoot that took a pretty heavy toll on the actors’ bods.

Rachel Nichols proudly tweeted photos of her cuts and bruises from each day of shooting and stunt work to her thousands of Twitter followers.

And Jason Momoa confirmed, “There was a constant stream of blood coming from my body during the entire shoot, from one place or another. I’d wake up in the morning and literally crawl out of bed, directly into an Epsom salt bath.”

The thesps also sought out libation relaxation during the hectic shoot. Nichols described a rogue Mexican restaurant near their set in Bulgaria, where the cast and crew became such regulars that the establishment concocted a specialty drink in their honor. “It’s called the Conan Drink,” she said. “A fishbowl margarita with Coronas in it!”
