Branagh sets sail for ‘Guernsey’ with Fox

WWII-era love story in sights for 'Thor' helmer

Fox 2000 is circling “Thor” helmer Kenneth Branagh to direct “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.”

Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan will produce from a script by Dan Roos. Carla Hacken is overseeing the project for Fox 2000, which acquired the project earlier this year.

Pic is based on Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer’s Publishers Weekly and New York Times bestseller described as a love story set in London and on the island of Guernsey shortly after WWII.

Branagh can be seen next as Laurence Olivier in “My Week With Marilyn.”

Fox is aiming to begin production on “Guernsey” in the spring.
