Boston Film Fest books Sept. 16-22 run

27th edition returns to Stuart Street Playhouse

The Boston Film Festival has set Sept. 16-22 as the dates for its 27th edition.

Screenings will continue to unspool at the Stuart Street Playhouse, where the fest found a home last year.

No films have been announced, with the submission deadline extended to July 1 for features, documentaries and short films.

Festival exec director Robin Dawson announced that Keith Dorrington, one of the writers and executive producers on last year’s Lowell, Mass.-based “The Fighter,” will head up a symposium titled “From Script to Screen” as part of the fest.

The confab also has added a Facebook page and a Twitter feed to its website, http://www.bostonfilmfestival.org.
