Balcony to release ‘Bomb’ theatrically

Documentary to open in New York in May

Docu-centric distributor Balcony Releasing has picked up Greg Jacobs and John Siskel’s “Louder Than a Bomb” for release in U.S. theaters later this spring.

Pic, about four Chicago high school poetry teams prepping to compete in the world’s largest youth poetry slam, will open May 18 in Gotham ahead of a rollout to select theaters around the country.

Film from Siskel/Jacobs Prods. already was selected to air on TV as part of the Oprah Winfrey Network’s monthly docu showcase, OWN Documentary Club.

Further dates and cities for Balcony’s theatrical release remain to be skedded.
