Output deal extended to August 2015

Relativity Media and Alliance Films have extended their output deal to August 2015.

All of Relativity’s movies will continue to be handled by Alliance Films in Canada and its subsids, Momentum Pictures in the U.K. and Aurum in Spain. They will also handle all pictures acquired by Relativity for distribution in those territories.

The 2011 slate includes “Limitless,” with Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro; and the mythical action fantasy “Immortals,” starring Henry Cavill, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas and Freida Pinto.

The extension follows the company’s initial three-year deal, which was signed in September 2008, and has encompassed films such as “The Fighter,” “Season of the Witch,” “Dear John” and “Brothers.”

Alliance has strategic partnerships, which include exclusive distribution rights, with Focus Features, The Weinstein Co., CBS Films and Newmarket Films in Canada, as well as ongoing relationships with Summit Entertainment and numerous other distribs.
