Ellen Shanman will adapt Karen Yampolsky's novel
Alcon Entertainment and 2S Films have tapped novelist Ellen Shanman to adapt dramedy “Falling Out of Fashion.”
Project, set up with 2S principals Hilary Swank and Molly Smith, will go out to directors soon.
“Fashion” is based on Karen Yampolsky’s 2007 novel about a woman who grew up in a Georgia hippie commune who winds up in the world of fashion magazine publishing in New York City. Sonja Warfield previously penned an adaptation.
Shanman has written two novels — “Everything Nice” and “Right Before Your Eyes.”
