Patrick Fabian (“Big Love”), Kelly Carlson (“Nip/Tuck”), Ian Colletti, Ted Levine, Bob Gunton (“The Lincoln Lawyer”), Greg Alan Williams, Chuck Carrington and Burgess Jenkins have joined the cast of indie fantasy-drama “Jimmy.”
Pic, currently lensing in North Carolina, is based on the Robert Whitlow novel of the same name and centers on a mentally challenged teen (Colletti) who interacts with supernatural beings.
Gary Wheeler is producing and Mark Freiburger’s directing. The pair co-wrote the screenplay with Whitlow.
Freiburger and Wheeler collaborated on an adaptation of Whitlow’s novel “The Trial,” with Wheeler directing Matthew Modine, Gunton and Robert Forster. Freiburger previously helmed the 2007 feature “Dog Days of Summer,” starring Will Patton.
Freiburger and Wheeler are repped by Gotham Group.
