Acquisitions program at SBIFF

Santa Barbara provides early access to films

The Santa Barbara Film Festival is expanding its reach with a new acquisitions program to be held the first weekend of the fest, Jan. 27-29.

Program aims to provide the acquisitions community with priority access to the fest’s films.

Event will be run in association with L.A.-based film production and sales company Traction Media, with SBIFF and Traction choosing the pics for the program.

Films are already being accepted and will be received until the Dec. 9 drop deadline.
