ABC’s ‘Missing’ finds buyers

Thriller series toplines Ashley Judd

CANNES — Disney Media Distribution has unveiled a raft of sales on ABC Studios’ thriller series “Missing,” which world premiered Monday at Mipcom.

The series, starring Ashley Judd as a former CIA agent hunting for her missing son, has sold to more than 80 territories, including Fox Channels in Italy, Russia and Ukraine, Fox Intl. Channels across Asia, AXN in Spain, Portugal and Central and Eastern Europe, Mediaset in Spain, RTE in Ireland, Digiturk in Turkey, SBS’ Kanal 5 in Sweden, TVNorge in Norway, SBS in Denmark and OSN in the Middle East.

It also sold to Chinese websites Youku.com and Tudou.com, Taiwan’s NextTV and Singapore’s MioTV.

Show lensed this summer in Prague, Dubrovnik and Istanbul, and will bow midseason 2012 on ABC in the U.S. – — Elsa Keslassy
