Eight projects vied for Pitch and Catch prizes
SHANGHAI — Qi Rui’s “Cry Me a Pond” and Kit Hui’s “A Borrowed Life” picked up the $15,000 Pitch and Catch awards for new projects Thursday at the Shanghai Intl. Film Festival.
Hong Kong filmmaker Hui won the award for the most promising project to invest in, while Qi’s film won for the most creative project.
There were eight projects up for the award. The jury was headed by helmer Zhang Yibai, and included producers E. Bennett Walsh and Carrie Wong.
