Media consultancy sets three-day market

International media consultancy MediaXchange is launching a three-day market on Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Pasadena to bring together film financiers and feature film producers to discuss new projects in a one-on-one setting.

The event, dubbed the MediaExchange International Finance Market, is touted as the first international film finance market to debut in the Los Angeles area. Each producer and financier will take part in a series of 20 one-on-one meetings during the three days at the Langham Huntington Hotel.

MIFM is led by an advisory Board consisting of sales agent Cassian Elwes, Patrick Russo of the Salter Group, Jason Blum of Blumhouse Prods., Sanford Panitch of Twentieth Century Fox Intl. Prods., media finance advisor Bernhard Stampfer (formerly of Deutsche Bank), Karine Martin of Mediabiz International, Michael J. Werner of Fortissimo Films, John Sloss of Sloss Eckhouse LawCo and Cinetic Media and Stephen Saltzman of Loeb & Loeb.

“We’re condensing six months of meetings into three high-impact days,” Elwes said. “For film producers, this is an incredible opportunity to deal directly with decisionmakers and possibly get your next project financed.”
