Miller's pro-baseball pic to close Tokyo fest

TOKYO — Helmer Bennett Miller’s pro-baseball drama “Moneyball,” starring Brad Pitt, will close the 24th Tokyo Film Festival on Oct. 30.

It is not yet known whether Miller or Pitt will make the trek to the fest.

“Moneyball” opens in Japan on Nov. 11 with Sony distribbing.

Tokyo has already announced the Jackie Chan historical epic “1911” and the Paul W.S. Anderson swashbuckler “The Three Musketeers” as its opening pics on Oct. 22, its first double opener since 1997.
