‘Social Network’ tops Critics’ Choice Awards

Firth, Portman win top acting honors

Continuing its recent kudos hot streak, “The Social Network” won best picture at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Friday night.

Colin Firth was tabbed best lead actor for his role in “The King’s Speech” while Natalie Portman won for lead actress as a psychologically damaged ballerina in “Black Swan.”

In the supporting categories, Melissa Leo and Christian Bale won for their perfs in “The Fighter.” The cast of the David O. Russell boxing drama was also honored with a win for best ensemble.

Best original screenplay honors went to David Seidler for “The King’s Speech” and Aaron Sorkin won for best adapted screenplay for “The Social Network.”
