Stromberg wins for art direction, production design; Karen O'Hara for set decoration
“Alice in Wonderland” has won the Oscar for art direction for Robert Stromberg for production design and Karen O’Hara for set decoration.
“Alice,” the first award presented Sunday, topped “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I,” “Inception,” “The King’s Speech” and “True Grit.”
It’s the second Oscar in the category for Stromberg, who won last year along with Rick Carter and Kim Sinclair for “Avatar.”
“Why didn’t I lose that 20 pounds,” Stromberg said on arriving on the stage.
