Panels will cover social viewing, monetization
Variety will present its first Entertainment Apps Conference on Dec. 1 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.
Speakers will discuss how media and entertainment companies are using apps to distribute premium content, enhance viewer engagement and create new revenue opportunities. Sessions will cover movie distribution via social-networking platforms, social viewing apps for movies and TV and monetization strategies.
The one-day conference, produced with Concurrent Media Strategies, will feature speakers from companies including DreamWorks Animation, Adobe, Disney Interactive, NBC.com, Lionsgate, Flixster and CAA.
