TMSS service in partnership with NetApp
Technicolor has launched what it calls a scalable, flexible and secure media storage product, Technicolor Media Storage Service (TMSS), designed and managed by storage and data management outfit NetApp.“We are very pleased to announce this new storage service in partnership with NetApp,” said Technicolor exec Chuck Parker. “Technicolor has long been trusted to preserve and protect the valued assets of its content-owner customers.” “NetApp is focused on diversifying its pathways by collaborating with service providers to deliver differentiated cloud solutions in vertical markets,” said NetApp’s Julie Parrish. “This new partnership combines Technicolor’s media industry experience with NetApp’s storage and data management capabilities.” Technicolor’s Media Storage Service supports content owners, aggregators and distributors in the shift from physical to digital media. The new service offers pay-as-you-go pricing that allows customers to scale storage to meet demand fluctuations, and not over-invest in off-peak periods. To protect assets, TMSS features content assurance by Technicolor, designed to re-assure customers that their content is secure, traceable and auditable.
