Testronic Labs has opened a new file-based facility in Burbank. The company, which specialized in quality-assurance services for film, TV, websites and games, built the lab from the ground up to serve the growing needs of studios and content holders as the industry rapidly transitions to a fully digital, file-based ecosystem that takes content all the way from mastering to digital distribution.

Fletcher Camera & Lenses is now repping FotoKem’s mobile lab system, nextLAB, in the Midwest. Built on FotoKem’s proprietary file-based workflow software, the mobile systems are integrated, portable units that bring post production capabilities to production sets and locations. Extensions of FotoKem’s in-house technology, they’re designed to assist with streamlining workflow from ingest to delivery and archive. Fletcher will rent and manage the deployment of nextLAB units in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and nearby areas.
