Exec exited CBS Interactive in March

Former CBS Interactive executive Anthony Soohoo has joined the board at online video network Revision3, the company is expected to announce Tuesday.

Soohoo stepped down at CBS in March shortly after Jim Lanzone took the helm as president of the division. He served as senior VP and GM of entertainment, overseeing properties including CBS.com, TV.com and CNet assets like Chowhound and UrbanBaby.

It’s not hard to see why and up-and-coming venture like Revision3 would bring Soohoo in given his expertise in monetizing major brands online. He’ll likely be focused on making sure revenue growth stays on par with the explosive growth in traffic Revision3 has seen in recent years.

Soohoo joins a brain trust at Revision3, under the direction of Jim Louderback, that includes IGN Entertainment president Roy Bahat, who joined the board in February. The company counts Mark Cuban and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman as investors.

Soohoo had been with CBS since 2007, when the company acquired his start-up Dotspotter. He’s also previously served as senior VP and GM at Yahoo.
