Relativity links up with Spotify

Studio to run promo material for 'The Immortals' on streaming site

Relativity Media has partnered with music streaming service Spotify, making Ryan Kavanaugh’s company the first studio to ally with the burgeoning Swedish company.

Partnership will be inaugurated in the run-up to the release of Relativity’s “Immortals,” for which Spotify will be an exclusive launch partner. The studio will run promo material on Spotify’s platform in advance of the Henry Cavill starrer’s Nov. 11 release.

Spotify has seen a surge of interest following its summer debut in the United States, recently bolstered by CEO Daniel Ek’s appearance at Facebook’s f8 conference. The site presently has more than 10 million registered users.

Relativity’s digital advertising agency, Palisades Media Group, negotiated the deal.
