As part of an expansion of its services, systems integrator Alt Systems has named Brent Gilmartin as artist advocate and senior trainer to head up its training programs. He’ll lead the company’s efforts in developing and implementing proprietary courses for Autodesk finishing products, beginning with its new Smoke for Mac curriculum for professionals.
ShootersNYC, the new satellite of ShootersINC, the Philadelphia-based post house led by exec producer Jeff Beckerman, has added creative cutter Anthony Marinelli to its talent roster. Although Marinelli is based in New York at ShootersNYC, he’s also available for projects at the company’s HQ in Philly. Conversely, Philly-based ShootersINC editors – Matthew Burres, Rob Graham, Mark Hutchinson, Chris Magliozzo,and Steve Wheelock – are available for projects out of the New York studio.
3net, the joint venture 24/7 3D network from Sony, Discovery and IMAX has named Carlos Gutierrez VP, business affairs and Legal. Formerly with Discovery, Gutierrez will be responsible negotiating multi-platform production agreements with domestic and international film, television and digital content providers. Based at the network’s HQ on the Sony lot in Culver City, he’ll also provide management oversight of the network’s program output deals and supervise business operations and production management – as well as help build annual and long-term strategic plans for the network and related businesses. 3net prexy Tom Cosgrove made the announcement.
