Videogame tenpercentary Digital Development Management has launched a production services group to help game creators and publishers streamline the process of getting titles produced and released.
Babel Media co-founder Ben Wibberely has been tapped to run the division as executive VP.
New arm will build upon DDM’s game industry services and game studio representation groups. Combined, DDM essentially would help clients oversee all aspects of a game’s creation, from funding to distribution.
DDM reps over 700 developers, including Turtle Rock Studios, Obsidian Entertainment and Ninja Theory.”Funding to create video games in today’s marketplace may come from sources other than traditional games publishers, which sometimes either lacks the knowledge or the time to deal with every aspect of the production process,” said DDM prexy Joe Minton. “Our Game Production Services division not only brings the expertise and experience needed to fill these gaps, but also offers companies coming into the video game business a cost effective, low risk solution and entry strategy into the industry.”
Wibberley recently ran game consultancy William Rubin and before that co-founded Babel Media, an international provider of outsourced services to the games and interactive entertainment industries.
