'Late Night' block of video shorts renewed

AOL is adding long-running sex-advice radio show “Loveline” to its lineup of video programs.

Excerpts of “Loveline,” which features hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Mike Catherwood, will be captured on camera and mixed with humorous animated segments re-enacting predicaments by the show’s callers.

AOL has also renewed its “AOL Late Night” block of video shorts, which include contributions from Adam Carolla and Kevin Smith.

Since increasing its emphasis on being a content company under CEO Tim Armstrong, the portal has put renewed interest this year in creating appointment programming on its AOL.com home page, and elsewhere on the site.

Since launching in 1983, “Loveline” has become a staple of syndicated radio featuring Pinsky, who has also kept busy on TV as host of VH1′s “Celebrity Rehab.”
