Regional players toon up for global market
Won the European Film Academy’s animation feature in 2009 for Jacques-Remy Girerd’s “Mia and the Magoo.” Current pic “A Cat in Paris” sold U.S. rights to New York’s Gkids. “Cat” directors Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli are re-teaming with Folimage on “Phantom Boy.”
France’s kidpic specialist distributor launched in 1997 and handles six-eight new pics a year. Co-produces and releases hits, such as Michel Ocelot’s 2005 “Kirikou and the Wild Beasts.”

Lyon-based animation shingle is developing 2D feature film “Lemuria” and 3D TV series “Nali & Biloo.” Operates production team in Madagascar.
