Viacom channels to remain off the iPad app

Time Warner Cable restored cable channels owned by Fox Cable Networks and Discovery Networks to its controversial iPad app on Friday, two weeks after they were removed after the companies filed cease and desist orders.

The channels in question include Discovery’s Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet as well as Fox’s FX, National Geographic Channel and Fox New Channel.
